Description
Glutathione is the most prevalent antioxidant in cells, a tripeptide consisting of Glutamate, Cysteine, and Glycine, which is mostly made in the liver. The ratio between reduced and oxidized forms of Glutathione (GSH/GSSG) has for many years been employed as a reliable research method to measure the degree of oxidative stress in cells and the participation of Glutathione in antioxidant protection.  Â
This 600 mg powder vial is provided at purity ≥98% and HPLC confirmed. Glutathione oxidizes easily upon contact with air-protect it from oxidation wherever possible, especially during the handling of reconstituted solutions. Store at -20°C under appropriate laboratory conditions. For laboratory and in vitro research use only. Â
